个人理解，外贸合同中，首先还是用contract表达合同的意思，在前文已经提到contract，后文无歧义地引用时，才会偶然地用reference指代前文的合同

reference no应指前文提及的被指代物的编号。如果指代合同，就是指合同编号；如果指代某些票证，就是票证的编号
